how far do I fall if I forget my fate

how far do I fall if I forget my fate
and look to you to set me straight—
how’s your man a man, ’till he looks you in the eyes
and with a single breath lifts you high to the skies;
when his hopes are yours and your dreams are one,
where—ever—on earth could they come from—
“look up” he says, “tonight, the moon won’t wane”;
and turning away, she shines all the same—
who follows who, first; who leads the way—
o does the sun ever choose the time of day?
all I feel is real, all I know, so near—
and I am only bound by what I fear—
hope, hold me high, light leads me along;
for none, save our selves, will we stay strong.
