his beauty

a man’s beauty is his woman,
but only she wins the day—
and he can always try
and try and try—
to the victor go the spoils;
rough but ready is a man,
many men will always race him,
but his crown is beauty proud—
by her grace is he enshrouded
and by his word is she enshrined—
and bright shields guards love
from the bringers of subjugation;
so when she takes you hold
and give golden-silver strikes—
the best better the rest
and heaven heals from the sky
when the test is truthful time,
then together, two can fly—
