what will hold you down

what or who will hold who or what down
whether or not you say you allow it;
does not earth’s gravity deem what will surround it,
yet, see how she’ll teem with a cloudy crown—

rather, look up, dearly, to the sun,
and though he may set and so be done—
was it not he—the mark of the only one;
say he for you sinks, and for fun,

only to rise once again by grace—
if memory serves you—bright making your face—
