as we sleep

seeing what to do next, wondering
how just to include us all in it—
then it comes to me, so swiftly,
that they race so far ahead, away,
(good proof, still, heaven’s higher)
just, to keep up with their times
and their so subtle, silent rhymes—
(that I’m the mark of that fool)
it’s like the current of currencies;
and so, lack-luster are the poor!
a goodly word (heard) does the trick,
whether together or quietly.
