if only you would give me some more time,

if only you would give me some more time,
though I know in this house you are the clock
ticks that with the world, through, I run my rhyme
and so decide what’s first and last in mind;
so rich are we, alive, sharing such stock:
that my word, heard—you—be, I’ll know no rest
’till for you the world brings home all the best—
and straight to your cause: time stopped sweetly still
with every breathe we breathe, hearing your will;
at one with our source, escaping us nil
save that which presumes of us our good fill—;
stay! endless emergence, and time so kill—

such influence on me you have that I
can relate: time, what I feel and so eye—
