I shiver in this shade

I shiver in this shade,
and then burn when you see me.
we sat next to an ocean
who taught us
how to control the wind
and make fires of our loves.
but the mare, she neighs, her tracks, they halt;
she cannot see passed the jagged cliffs where I await,
and she flinches with her nose to the sky
where we both bleed into the night.
