let me in, o let me in!

let me in, o let me in!
I have no home
but your embrace,
and reject everything
that doesn’t tell me of you—
what follows
from storms spiraling into the sky but the silence
from before
from where we lived ever-after.

unwind like the bloom of me
spread, widening your eye
and I will shoot like sunbeams
of every color in the sky

until the dusk
envelopes,
and we lay tucked beneath,
spiraling still into each other,
until the cracking dawn wakes us up,
up into the tomorrow
where we unfurl
dreams to keep the days coming
and their warmth upon our skin.
